We left for the airport at 7:45 am. We were excited to get on our way! Our friend Jessie picked us up and took us to the airport.
Chris carried Alison through the airport in the Baby Bjorn harness. We checked our stroller and car seat so we wouldn’t risk being late at our layover by gate checking it. Although when I go to Oklahoma, since I will be flying by myself with Alison, I plan on gate checking the stroller.
Ready to go on her first plane ride!

Snuggle time! Alison during the flight.
Whats going on out there?
We flew to Denver first where they unloaded and loaded passengers, we didn’t have to change planes. Our next stop was in Chicago where we had an hour layover. We were able to get some food from a Greek to-go place, Pegasus CafĂ©, I recommend it if you ever get stuck in the Chicago Midway Airport; it was really good.
We finally made it to Fort Myers at 10pm (Florida time). Chris’ father and grandma came to pick us up and were there waiting for us. It was so wonderful seeing their smiling faces at the end of a long day of travel. Alison was pretty excited about meeting her grandpa and great grandma; I think they were a little excited about meeting them as well!
"Pleased to meet you!"
