She's My Little Doop Scoup!

Alison is crawling really well but sometimes she get stuck. She likes to crawl under the table chairs but she can't figure out how to get out!
Mommy!!

Alison really likes this pot holder

A few days ago Alison figured out that she likes to sit in the hat box, today mommy figured out that if I attach a cat leash to said hat box it makes a nice baby sled! I pulled Alison around soo much today and she loves it! I put toys in the floor so we could bump into them and boy did she think that was something!

When Chris got home I asked him to pull Alison around so I could take pictures! The hat box slides really well across the carpet.

"WHEEEE!!!"

Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

Today Alison went to her first professional baseball game! We went to the Padres v. Cubs. Also today our little princess turns 10 months old! I can't believe it. She really is growing so fast!!

At home Alison is trying to figure out how to get to the cats, for now Marty is safe in his kitty condo but I don't know how long that will be true!

Alison really really really wants to play with the cats (and yes I know she isn't buttoned up but sometimes she just won't stay still long enough and sometimes I just let her do what she wants)

She is very pleased with herself

Daddy kisses Alison at our friends house, they live relatively close to the ball park. We all met up there and walked to the game!

She is so pretty!

Alison really likes Mrs. Tawny!

The three of us!

Having fun!

She even sat in her own seat for a little while!

The walk to the park was really long (a few miles) and I carried Alison in this Bjorn all the way, I was actually pretty impressed with how well I did! I must be getting stronger from holding her all the time! But I made Chris carry her on the walk back! She really likes being in the Bjorn and walking around.

Cruising!

Cruising, I have learned, is when a baby who can't walk on their own holds on to a person or object to walk. Alison is starting to stand on her own, she will pull herself up to a standing position using something or someone and then let go for a few seconds and stand all by herself before re-grabbing or falling on her cute diapered tush.

We have been practicing cruising so Alison will feel more confident when it comes time to take those very important first steps! She has mastered crawling and is already working on the next, or rather first, step!

Daddy is home from work and is happy to find Alison sporting her Cardinal's fan body suit!

Hey mom! Daddy is here!

Mommy put Alison on daddy's back! Her balance is getting really good! And she sure is having fun crawling on dad!

I can't believe how many teeth she has, another bottom tooth poked its way out!

One foot in front of the other!

This is fun!

Oops! Fall down!

But more importantly she got back up!

New Skirt and a New Place to Sit!

Chris and I went to Target recently to get Alison a bunch of baby stuff. She is growing and so we got her some 12 month size clothes, like this cute little skirt!

Alison likes to take her bottle with her legs in the air

First time eating spaghetti! Wish I would have put more sauce on it!

Alison did this all by herself. She pulled enough toys out of her hat box to stand and then sit in it! (I have had the boxes, there are 2, for years! and they were sitting in the top of my closet just holding junk, they now have the more important job of holding Alison's toys!)

Trying to get comfortable

I like this!

Dinner at the Newlyweds

Yesterday's pillow fort was still up this morning and Alison took advantage of the nice soft spot to do a little relaxing.

"This is so comfortable, ahhh..."

Yesterday we made a trip to Target to get some baby food and whatnots. We got teething biscuits for Alison and she really seems to like them. They are whole wheat and organic. I took a little nibble of one and it tasted really good.

Yumm Yumm!

We were invited by Sarah and Mike to have dinner at their house. We haven't seen them in a really long time. The last time I saw Sarah was my baby shower and the last time I saw Mike was when I was in the Navy. They were both on my ship with me and I have remained friends with them ever since.

They got married this year. For our hostess gift we brought them a bottle of wine called 'Monogamy'. Sarah and Mike made a really good dinner! We were treated to some smoked ribs, salads and cornbread, all sorts of yummy stuff. And the best part...Alison had a lot of fun there! She really liked Mike and Sarah (and their dog Wolfie)

Alison crawled over to mike and pulled herself up wanting his attention, she normally isn't so forward with strangers.

Alison squealing and Wolfie trying to figure out what's so exciting

Alison thought Sarah was really funny and she really enjoyed sitting in Mike's lap

When Alison is happy, you can't help but be happy too

Reading to Monkey

Alison did the cutest thing today. We were in the playroom and Alison had her monkey and I gave her a book and she started reading it to monkey, at least that's what it looked liked. Adorable.

When I read to Alison I follow the words with my finger (as suggested to do by the 'your baby can read' system we use) Here she is reading just like mommy.

Pay attention Monkey!

We also built a pillow fort today! Well, not really a fort we just gathered all the pillows from the couches and put them in a pile on the floor, it was still fun!

Alison had fun playing on the pillows and crawling around them.

I love pillow fort!

Daddy Cuddle Time

It's Friday!

Daddy came home from work and we talked to the fake grass guys. We really like the fake grass (it's the same stuff they use for football fields) its cushy, green and not to mention you don't have to water it but the price....well we were willing to pay a fair amount for it but we were not willing to pay what they were asking for...$20,000.  I had no idea fake grass cost so much especially for our little yard.

After they left daddy and Alison snuggled on the couch. So cute. I love my little family.
Hey mommy!
