Barona Pow Wow

Yesterday on th news they said the Barona tribe was having their 40th Annual Pow Wow. I love going to different things and thought it would be a fun family activity. I have been to the Red Earth Festival in Oklahoma when I was a kid and had a lot of fun. But it was indoor and very well organized.

The Barona Pow Wow was outside and they didn't put up any kind of shade for people and it was not very well organized, We were all really disappointed. It reached the 100s in temperature and without comfortable shade it was just too hot. We wanted to spend the evening there, watch all the dancers but we only made it through the childrens competition (which was really cute) before we left.

Sitting on the ground outside watching the dancers, it was hot but we had plenty of water and were sitting next to someones tent mooching off their shade.
