Oklahoma Entry #3

The last few days!

May 31, 2010

Last night there was a huge storm with lots of wind, rain and lightning. Two houses down a large (mostly dead) tree fell. Luckily it fell across the road missing houses and cars that were near by. The power went in and out, it was pretty neat. I miss the big thunderstorms, the sound of the rain pelting against the differnt parts of the house, against the roof, a window or the skylights. All the rain noises combine into a sort of beautiful harmony. I like the thunder when it gets so loud that is shakes your house. I hope Alison and I are here for another storm before we head back.

Dad and I went on a 4 mile walk. There was a lot of water in the ditches and creeks.
Here Boompa is looking into one of the creeks at all the extra rain water.

Here is what he was looking at, lots of water!

Boompa walked the dogs and I pushed Alison around.

Alison really likes going for walks, she is an outside kind of baby. She really enjoys going anwhere as long as she is moving and seeing different things.
Boompa had to walk the dogs because they don't behave for anyone else. They are really good for him and don't like being very far from where ever he is.

Boompa loves his dogs. They are his furry children.

We went to the grocerie store today, Crest, and mom did her shopping and Boompa, Alison and I walked around and ended up getting a soda a piece, some string cheese, some peanut M&Ms and sitting near the exit waiting. Alison enjoyed playing with the bottle of soda, I think I'm going to have to get her a cold teething toy.

I didn't take any pictures today. All we were doing was cleaning! Alison was really good all day and was passed around to whoever wasn't doing something. We were able to gather up a few bags and a box of stuff to take to the Goodwill. We still have some more cleaning ond organizing stuff we would like to do but we'll get there. The air conditioner also broke and leaked water onto the garage floor. Boompa spent most of the evening trying to fix it. It really seems like when your trying to clean there is always something that gets in the way!

Today JG and I ran some errands as well as made a fun stop at a store for children. First we went to the Goodwill to drop up the things we had gathered yesterday to donate and then we had to get a part for the vacuum cleaner at the vacuum supply store. Luckily neither activity took very long and we were able to go to Cinnamon Bears, a cute childrens store.

We had a lot of fun looking at stuff and Alison got to ride on a little push scooter!

She couldn't touch the ground but she had a blast anyways!

Touching the bell! It was really cute it was just a scooter no peddals or anything, the first time Alison has been on anything resembling a bike.
They also had a bumble bee to ride on too!

I ended up getting her a Gund pink pony, a cute little hat and a teething ring that you put in the fridge. JG got her a new head band bow and a visor!

JG and Boompa took us to my favortie place to eat, Earls, for dinner today. They have the BEST bar'b'que. I wish there was an Earl's in San Diego.

"That looks good mommy, can I have some?"

Modeling her new bow at Earl's. So cute!

Some of JG's flowers bloomed and I couldn't help but take a picture!
