Happy Easter!

I hope everyone had as wonderful an Easter as we did! We went up the street to the country club for brunch and an egg hunt! There were a lot of kids and Alison had a great time playing with them.
Alison's Easter basket

Alison's Easter basket flanked between mommy and daddy's Easter baskets.
(actually all the baskets belong to Alison we just borrowed them! The little white one Boompa bought for Alison to carry at the egg hunt since her basket is a bit too big and the brown one is made out of cloth and normally holds Alison's fake fruit)

Alison and Boompa are ready to go!

outside about to walk up the street

Baba and Boompa and their good friend Nancy

Alison wanted to walk a little too

After we ate Alison walked around and played with the other kids

We had the best view from our table

Daddy wanted to dance with Alison

Being a very good girl

running around with an egg is fun!

Outside waiting for her turn to hunt eggs

In the egg hunt area. They spread rose petals every where, it was very pretty

Alison wasn't too happy that I picked her up, she wanted to run around and play! but I wanted an Easter picture with the prettiest girl there!

Alison had a lot of fun running around

Pre egg hunt all the eggs and petals spread out on the ground

'Come on Baba!'

Alison LOVED the Easter bunny!

Alison tried to put the egg in the basket but missed! she was a very cute egg hunter

All the parents following their egg hunting children

We walked back home and Alison was able to dive into her Easter basket!

music toys!

Alison got a chocolate bunny, two music toys, two little books and a shapes wood puzzle

After dinner we gave Alison her very first chocolate bunny!
This is the most chocolate she has ever held and it took a minute for her to figure out what it was.

Little Peter Rabbit chocolate bunny looks scared!

Oh boy!

'I think I like this'

Alison really seemed to enjoy eating her bunny!

Alison managed to eat the ears and head of her hollow milk chocolate bunny.
I was pretty impressed especially since this was after eating a good dinner!

I feel so blessed to have spend this Easter with Chris, Alison, Nancy and my parents. Last year it was just Alison and I and although we had a good time on our own its always so wonderful to have family around. I really do wish we could live close to everyone! I have the most wonderful in-laws and the most wonderful family anyone could ask for! Not to mention I have a pretty great daughter and husband too!
I feel blessed that Jesus found us worth dying on the cross for and that through his sacrifice we have been saved. He has Risen! I wonder what it must have been like for the followers of Jesus who saw him crucified, who wept for him and then witnessed his Resurrection. I can only imagine that it was a very moving, exciting and powerful experience.

Happy Easter!
