Getting Ready For Texas

I will be going to Texas on Thursday to throw my dear friend Jean Ann a baby shower and will be leaving, for the first time, the hubs all alone with Alison.

VS

Chris has taken off work and has some really great plans of things he wants to do with Alison while mommy is away. I am not too worried about how things will go, Alison is pretty easy to look after, but then maybe I'm just used to her!
So good luck Daddy Pants!

Uhh Oh!

It would seem that Alison is now tall enough to reach up to the counter top and into the carton of eggs and pull one out. Luckily she didn't pull the whole thing down!
I laughed so hard when I walked back into the kitchen and saw this on the floor.
I was on the phone with Baba and had no idea that Alison had been being so sneaky, she of course was no where to be seen!

Poway Train Park

There is a park we like to frequent that is pretty close to our house. There is a little train that sometimes runs around it when there are activities going on and there is a lot of room to run around and play.
Mommy and Alison sitting on the fence that blocks off the tracks.

Alison HAD to wear her rain boots! She loves her boots and likes to put shoes on.
Mommy did bring some more appropriate shoes to run in that we eventually changed into, but I figured it wouldn't hurt a thing if she wanted to wear her rain boots for awhile.

Chris took this picture at the park. He gets better and better at taking pictures!

Another picture of the same area but in color.

Alison didn't want to leave!
(notice she is wearing the little tunic, under the sweater, I made for her <3 )
You might have noticed that we are missing a few days....well not much has been going on except unpacking, laundry, sleeping and refilling our pantry and fridge. I think you'll be seeing more regular blog post (well as regular as I normally am) in a month or two.

Pics from my camera:
Alison was a little timid walking over the train tracks but with a little help from mommy she did it!

I really love this picture.

So Excited!!

Alison had so much fun running back and forth over this little wooden bridge.

Time to go home!

Hi!

It's been awhile since I've gone through how much Alison has changed so let me take the opportunity.
Alison is speaking more and more clearly.
She is still reading well and loves her books!
She knows who people are.
She loves going to playgroup at school.
She sings all the time including songs that don't really have words or that she has just made up.
She doesn't like to try new things but is getting a little better about it.
Loves apples.
Loves her baby dolls and stuffed animals.
Likes to 'take pictures' with my old camera and even makes the "ka-chh" camera noise and says "smiles" while posing in front of the mirror.
Is totally a daddy's girl.
Is mommy's little angel.
Has discovered "no"
Loves to go shopping.
Likes to color with crayons.
Likes to go through mommy's purse.
Really enjoys putting shoes on and picking out which ones she wants to wear.
she doesn't narrate her running by yelling "running" anymore (I sure am going to miss that!).
Has gone back to not really liking baths after several months of really liking them.
When ever a phone rings she says "Mommy's phone"

She is growing up so fast I know there are bunch of little things each day that are changing. She is speaking more clearly and is leaning so much! We feel so blessed to be able to watch her grow up and be apart of her precious little life.

New Camera!!!

Chris surprised me with my new camera!! I had no idea that he had ordered it, I have been talking about getting my new camera for awhile now and am so excited it's here!! My very own camera!
Pretty huh? Its a Cannon S100 and it works really well.
I don't know much about cameras but I do know that it takes great pictures and is pretty easy to use even though I haven't read the instructions yet....I will....eventually....

I won't show you the first picture ever taken with this camera because my husband took it and I promptly made him delete it. The way he surprised me with my camera was to sneak up on me while I was taking a relaxing bath, snapped a picture and said "Look honey its your new camera!"
Sounds like Chris huh?

Here are my first pictures with the new Camera
Alison got a new pink blanket from our good friends Evan and Jessica and she really likes it, Buddy the stuffed dog managed to poke his head into the picture too.

Peek-a-boo!

Walking Around with Grandma and Grandpa!

Our last day in Naples. We decided to take things easy since tomorrow is going to be full of traveling.
We have had so much fun being here and have really enjoyed getting to see everyone. Its been a blessing being able to take two weeks off to spend with Grandma and Grandpa. I hope we will be able to do it again soon!
One of the lovely things about where Grandma and Grandpa live is all the places to stroll around and how beautiful they are.

Alison looking cute and having fun!

It was wonderful to see Alison's bond with her great grandparents grow stronger during our visit.

"This way Grandma!"

Stopping for a break, well everyone but Alison!

Alison checked out the rocks, flowers and grass!
She really enjoyed picking up handfuls of gravel.

Walking down the path

Happy Alison and Happy Grandma

Running ahead to catch up with Grandpa.

Chris and I are in love with how beautiful Naples is. All the green grass and trees. We really had a good time being outside and soaking up the warm weather.

Marco Island

Grandma and Grandpa used to live on Marco Island. Chris has some really great memories there and I do as well (although not as many!). While we were dating I went out to Marco and stayed with his grandparents and had a really great time.
The water felt really good, and the sun was shining down.

After the beach we went to a playground and let Alison run around for awhile.
She found a friend!

On the swing with mommy!

We really like the botanical garden and wanted to go see it again during the day
We got lunch and Alison and I ran around on the open grass area.

She had a really great time!

"Running!"
There was also a water area for the kids, Alison was a little intimidated by the water so mommy tried to show her that it was OK.

Of course there were a lot of beautiful flowers at the garden!
We had a really great time checking things out and playing in the water.

Before bed we took a sunset golf cart ride.
Alison isn't the only one who likes to ride in the golf cart!
