Dinner with Tri Tech

This evening we went out to dinner with the Tri Tech people Boompa works with. They are all really nice people and its always fun to see them.

Going Out With the Grands!

Chris and I are getting our kitchen resurfaced and one of the people who measures surfaces made an appointment to stop by and drop off a sample and pick up some paper work. So mommy stayed home and Alison, Boompa and JG went to check out the Habitat for Humanity store.

Bye family! Boompa and JG found some granite tiles and made a plan to turn my dilapidated backyard table into something pretty.

Shopping

Tonight we went over to Tawny and Tom's house for a little get together. This is the only picture I took...we had a good time talking to our friends and eating together. My folks really seemed to like everyone and everyone really seemed to like them. Tom's son really liked playing with Boompa.

Yep, Thats the One I Want

My sewing machine pooped out on me a few months back and since then I have been looking at machines online and reading reviews. And with my mom visiting she offered to go look at some with me. I knew I wanted a Brother Sewing Machine. They seem to be the best right under Pfaff but Pfaffs are soo expensive and to me they seem a bit on the complicated side.

We went to Sew Pros, I want to buy a machine from them because they offer a ton of free classes when you buy your machine from them. They were also one the people that I talked to at the San Diego Quilt Show and they were really helpful and friendly.

To get to the point I found the machine that I want!
TA DA!! This is the Brother Innov-is 950D! it comes with an attachable base to make the work space bigger and there is a case to protect it and there is a storage compartment inside for storing bits.
There is an automatic needle threader, and this particular one is already loaded with some automatic Disney embroidery patterns (105 embroidery patterns- 35 disney ones). It's a touch screen and there is a USB drive that lets you easily put new patterns into the machine. It also has a bunch of standard stiches. It's about the fanciest machine a girl like me could want and its so easy to use. It is however just under $900 so it's going to be a little while before this little beauty makes it home. My mom liked this machine so much she kind of wants one too!

Alison came with us and Daddy and Boompa stayed at home working on manly stuff...ok they took a really long nap and did some work on the house :)

For dinner? Oven pizza!

Good Bye Hole in the Wall!

Boompa our fixes everything! Here is a picture of him patching up the door nob shaped hole in the wall. He also put door stops on the downsairs doors to keep them from punching another hole in the wall. Thanks Boompa!! Chris and Boompa also put new mirror sliding closet doors in Alison's room, she loves them! He has done so much work around our house! We really like it when he visits!!

Brunch!

There is a place in PB called Gringos that serves a wonderful brunch on Sundays. Chris really wanted to take my parents there. We had a really good time. We think its one of the best breakfast buffets in San Diego.

Ok, so its a bit of a close up but still its a very cute picture!

Chris enjoying a memosa

Boompa and Alison. Alison's hair is a bit unruly at times. I think its going to be wavy like my hair but Chris is still holding onto hope that its going to by straight like his. I guess time will tell. To be honest I hope she has straight hair...my hair gets pretty crazy if I don't straighten it.

Alison loves sitting with Boompa

Alison wants something to drink!

here is some water baby. Alison likes to drink with a straw.

look at those teeth!

Ok, I've chewed on the straw, now for some actual water drinking!

JG really liked breakfast too and toward the end of breakfast managed to wriggle Alison away form Boompa :) Alison is extremely fond of JG. They get along really well. JG likes to rock Alison in the rocking chair and sing to her.

Going out for Sushi!

Chris and I love Sushi and luckily my parents like Japanese food. Today we went to Han's Sushi, its about the only place we go for sushi because we can eat all we want without it costing a mint. I have to admit that I was surprised that JG didn't get Sushi but her meal looked really good and she and Boompa both seemed to have a good time out with us.
