Is that you Daddy?

A few days ago Chris got glasses! He looks very handsome but that doesn't mean he likes to have his picture taken. I snuck one in today though! He wears them to watch TV and whatnot because he is nearsighted.

But first! Here is a picture of Alison while we were at home and daddy was at work.

Teeth sure are bothersome!

And here is the picture of Chris in his glasses holding his little girl!

So handsome! I think glasses make him look really smart

"Hello Flash Dance!"

"Hello Flash Dance!"
Thats what daddy said to Alison this morning when I brought her in our room to see him. I had gotten her up and dressed and thought today was a perfect day for a plain onsie and some leg warmers!

Alison had a really good day today. The teething has really been taking some of the joy out of her lately
Beautiful girl
It still feels good to chew on things though!

Alison after eating some figs, baby rice cereal and yogurt.
(excuse the hangers in the back, I fold laundry in here while she plays, much nicer for everyone)
Alison helps mommy wipe her face off with a warm wet dish cloth.
What a helpful little girl!

Hanging out in the Office

Chris hates my little antique desk, I have had it for several years now. I wanted a desk to keep my odds and ends in but didnt want to spend a bunch on one so I found it at the Goodwill and really like it becuase burned on the wood inside the drawers is "Meredith's Furnature". Anywyas Chris has complained about it since I got it. It found it extremly funny when he asked me if he could use it until he gets his own to put his computer on top of.

We have almost got everything moved into the office but things are quite put together (notice the drawers not in my little desk. Chris is enjoying the office. I put Alison in there with him so they could have some daddy daughter time. I took some pictures too.

Hey Alison

Here is a picture without the flash so you can see how bright Chris' super computer is.
Pretty.

Hey, play with me!

Look at these toys!
These are the upstairs toys, since we spend most of our time downstairs  she doesn't play with these as often making them very interesting.

Sitting Up in the Bath!

Alison really likes eating fig and eating yogurt. Her favorite fruit of the moment is easily fig. Luckily its really easy to make fig baby food. I just use the dehydrated kind, cut them up, boil them in a little bit of water, dump the figs and water into the baby food processor and voila! Figgy baby food!

Here is Alison on the couch after eating her figgy baby food.

This is the only picture on the couch I got of her looking at me

Most of the time she was watching the ceiling fan.
This is one of her new outfits, daddy picked this one out for her. We always look at the baby clothes section at Costco to see if there is anything cute.

Alison is sitting up so well that I thought she might enjoy sitting up in the bath all by herself. We don't have any grips on the bottom of our tub so I put a beach towel down so she wouldn't slide around.

After her bath we all got dressed to go out for dinner at Claim Jumpers (so good!) Chris has out of town work friends in so we met them for dinner. Alison was so good and was really interested in the little girl sittin at the table next to ours.

So Sensitive!

Alison in her new pajamas getting ready to go to the store

Alison and I spent pretty much all day inside and even though I had Alison ready to go to bed, when daddy asked if we wanted to go with him to get some face soap we were on board!

I got Chris used to using the Philosophy brand face soap and the only place I know of to get it (other than the internet) is Sephora. I like the boscia soap brand and the Bare Minerals make up which is also at Sephora. We are a family of sensitive skin. We are even careful with what we use on Alison becuase she seems to have sensitive skin too. Recently we have been using the Bert's Baby Bee stuff and it seems to be working well. The Baby Bee Diaper Ointment it the best! It smells better and works 10x better than Butt Paste (which is what we were using).

I thought I was going to bed?
Alison is teething and her Sophie has proved to be a great teething toy

Alison liked getting out and walking around. She likes looking at things and loves spending time with her daddy. Chris really enjoys pushing her in the stroller and making faces at her. We often steal the stroller from each other becuase we both like pushing Alison around so much.

Play Day

Alison and I stayed home today. I did my normal at home stuff and of course played with Alison. Her top tooth broke through! I am not even going to try to get a picture of it. There is no way she would let me pull her lip up long enough to snap a picture, lol. But here is a picture showing you how FAST those bottom two teeth are coming in! I can't believe how fast they are pushing their way into her little mouth!
Click on the picture ot make it bigger, they really are coming in! I can't believe she has three teeth poking through!

Funday

Daddy was able to come with us to church today. Alison with her teething doesn't do too well in worship so daddy took her to the nursery and stayed with her. When I came back to pick up my kids the nursery women told me about how cute they thought it was Alison saying "da-da". Officialy her first word because she knows what it means.

Alison and I went with daddy to his Sunday haircut. The ladies there love Alison.
Here is Chris putting her back in her car seat so we can go to Target.

She looks so small compared to her daddy
Alison fell asleep before we made it to Target (seriously a 5 minute drive)
She doesn't sleep out in public very often anymore (too interesting) so I had to take a picture.
We got Alison her new car seat, this one is getting a little snug. The only problem is the new one your supposed to wait till your baby is a year old to use but we didnt want to spend $90 on a 'stage 2' cat seat. So it looks like Alison is going to be spending a bit more time in this one. We want to wait till she is a little closer to twelve months before we make the switch. She is still under the weight limit for this one but when she is ready for the switch her new Graco 3-in-one purple cat seat is waiting in its box for mom and dad to put in the car! We like the seat we picked out becuase it starts at 20 pounds (Alison is 18 pounds) with the baby 5 point harness and turns into a toddler seat and then into a booster so as long as this thing doesn't wear out it will be the only car seat she will need (which is great because car seats ain't cheap!)

We spent the rest of our Sunday in family time. I love my little family I do feel really blessed. Two weeks until Alison's baby dedication at church. I submitted our pictures that they will use during the cerimony and Chris is going to be there! I am going to try and find someone to record it but I honestly don't know very many people at church, hopefully I can get someone to and will be able to post the cerimony for everyone to see.
